Employee Benefit / Appreciation Programs

Elder Innovations believes that quality resident care is directly related to the longevity of the staff. We are firmly committed to maintaining our dedicated employees by acknowledging their hard work in a consistent manner. The goal of the benefit and appreciation programs is to promote teamwork and longevity by reinforcing our standards and rewarding a job well done. Both residents and families build long-term relationships with our staff, rest assured that Elder Innovations is providing high quality care.

  • Competitive Wage - Employees of Elder Innovations are offered a competitive wage based on a yearly market analysis. Employees are offered a starting wage with an additional .05 an hour for healthcare experience (maximum of .25 cents), .50 an hour for CNA certification and an additional .50 an hour when working a night shift.
  • Career Ladder - The Elder Innovations Employee Career Ladder is designed to create opportunities for individual employees who express an interest in developing their skills and talents within the Elder Innovations organization. The program is aimed at identifying the talent within the organization and creating an environment where employee growth is encouraged. Employees who progress in the program are rewarded with additional compensation, advancement within the company and professional development.
  • Bonuses - Each staff member is eligible to earn a variety of bonuses throughout the year including bonuses for filling in open shifts, for helping improve occupancy, maintaining quality as measured by Elder Innovations and by the State of Wisconsin. Each staff member may also be nominated and selected for the annual Elder Innovations “Caregiver of the Year” award.
  • Yearly Increase - Each staff member receives an increase of up to 3% on their anniversary date based on an annual review by the Residence Director as well as their designation on the Elder Innovations Career Ladder.
  • Paid Time Off - Beginning on the day of hire, eligible staff will begin accruing PTO in their PTO bank. The PTO bank combines vacation, sick and holiday time into one account. This account can be used at the employee’s discretion (upon supervisor approval) beginning at 6 months of employment. The accrual rate increases for eligible employees based upon years of service.
  • Benefits in a Card - Eligible employees may elect to participate in the pre-tax “mini” medical insurance program. This plan covers prescriptions, preventative care, physician visits, and some medical testing. See the Benefits in a Card brochure for more details. Employees are eligible on the first of the month following 1 month of employment. Employment forms must be completed within 30 days of change of status.
  • Dental Insurance - Eligible employees may elect to participate in the pre-tax dental insurance program. New employees are eligible on the first of the month following 1 month of employment. Enrollment forms must be completed within 30 days of employment or change of status.
  • Flex Spend Account - Eligible employees may elect to participate in a pre-tax medical savings account that can be used for every day medical needs such as band aids, to paying for medical bills and services. New employees are eligible on the first of the month following 1 month of employment. Enrollment forms must be completed within 30 days of employment or change of status.
  • 401 K Plan - Eligible employees may elect to enroll in the Elder Innovations 401K plan. Employees must be employed for at least 6 months before enrolling. After satisfying the time requirement, employees are eligible to enroll the following quarter. Elder Innovations matches 50% of up to 3% of the employee’s gross amount of pay with each paycheck.
  • Incentive Programs - Catch Them in the Act is a unique incentive program for Elder Innovations employees where tickets are given when a caregiver goes the extra mile for a resident or family member. Staff save tickets and trade them a $100 Visa Gift Card. The Kudos Program is a program aimed at recognizing a team member for going above and beyond in unity with Elder Innovations values. “Kudos” notes are given from one resident assistant to another, or from a family member or a resident to a resident assistant. The notes are completed and placed a bulletin board in a commons area. Awards for Kudos are given by the residence director.
  • Longevity Appreciation - Employees receive an appreciation card and a gift card. Employees earn $10 for every 1 year of service.
  • Birthday Recognition - Employees are recognized on their birthday by their direct supervisor. Each employee receives a small gift card as well a birthday card at or around their birthday.
